Registration and The Open House are different this Fall! Please read about the changes and new Open House format ( a .DOC document):  2014 Fall Registration and Aug 13 Open House

Important Note:  For the 2014 Fall Registration one must complete and submit both the Registration Form AND the Membership Form.

Registration is on a first come, first served basis. Registration forms are date stamped (The earliest the form can be stamped is the date of the Open House, Aug 13th – read about the changes and new format via the link above ) when they arrive at the office and then entered into our system. Your registration is not complete until the payment (includes PayPal payment) and the printed form are received in the Second Half office.
Payment by credit card is available only on the website. We cannot accept credit card payments in person, by mail, by phone, or by fax.

Registration Instructions
Register by mail and pay by Check  |  Register by mail and pay Online ($5.00 surcharge) | Register On-Line and pay by Check or On-line($5.00 surcharge)

To register by mail and pay by check:

  1. Download the Fall 2014 Course Catalog (PDF) and print the Registration Form from the back.
    Or download the Registration form Fall 2014 as a docx file,  Or Fill Out Registration On-Line.
  2. Complete the registration form, checking the appropriate boxes for tuition, membership, additional courses, and parking passes
  3. Write a check for the amount required.
  4. Mail the form and a check to the office at Second Half: Lifelong Learning Institute, 205 Bedford St, Fall River, MA 02720.

To register and pay by credit card (via PayPal):

There is a $5.00 surcharge for paying via PayPal. This covers the PayPal charge to The Second Half.

  1. Download the Fall 2014 Course Catalog (PDF) and print the Registration Form from the back.
    Or download the Registration Form as a docx file, Or Fill out Registration On-Line.
  2. Complete the registration form, checking the appropriate boxes for tuition, membership, additional courses, and parking passes.
  3. Enter the total amount to be paid via Pay Pal on the registration form.  Step 5 asks you to mail the registration form to the Second Half Office.
  4. Scroll down the page or click here to add selections to your shopping cart. With each selection, you will be redirected to the shopping cart. To make more selections, you will have to click on “continue with your selections”. Please add the $5.00 surcharge to your purchase(s). The link VIEW CART and/or CHECK OUT” will also take you to your shopping cart.
  5. From the Shopping Cart page, click on the Check out with PayPal Button on the bottom. You will be directed to the secure PayPal site. Follow the instructions and complete the transaction. With PayPal one can pay via credit card or by using your existing PayPal account. You do not need a PayPal account to register online via PayPal. Learn more here.

PayPal will ask you for information which will be forwarded to the Second Half with the notification that the payment has been received. This information will include:

a. Your name, address, and phone number

b. The items being paid for:  Membership, two courses, extra courses, surcharge, and/or parking pass. It will not ask for specific courses, only quantity.

With a successful  transaction, the above information will be forwarded to The Second Half with the notification that the payment has been successful.

The actual courses that you are signing up for are not forwarded. This is the reason one must mail in the completed Registration Form

6.  Mail the registration form to the office at Second Half: Lifelong Learning Institute,   205 Bedford St, Fall River 02720.

Note:  Registration is complete only when The Second Half receives both the registration form and the payment notification from PayPal.
