UPDATED 3/26/2015: The date of Bob Waxler’s lecture on “The Risk of Reading” has been changed from April 30 to May 14.

UPDATED 2/21/2015:  TSH Classes will begin on Monday, Feb. 23, 2015, weather permitting.  If the Fall River Schools are cancelled, all Second Half Classes are cancelled, regardless of the location.  Check Providence TV Channels 6, 10, and 12.

UPDATED 2/17/2015:  ALL CLASSES CANCELLED this week: Tuesday – Friday (Feb. 17 – 20) due to weather conditions.

UPDATED 2/11/2015:  Registration has officially closed and confirmation letters have been sent out.  If you need to make a change or add a course, you must contact the main office to see what is available.

UPDATED 1/19/2015:  There is a new, FREE, Workshop being offered to members only in March on “Expanding Social Interaction through Facebook”.  Check for details on the Events page.  We hope to see most of you at the Open House this Thursday!!

UPDATED 1/5/2015:  The online registration is going well.  Many have been successful using the new system.  If you are having trouble finding the place to register, click HERE then scroll down the page a little bit.

UPDATED 1/4/2015:  The Spring 2015 catalog is now on line.  You can start registering tomorrow.  While you are there, check out our new photo pages!  There is a link from the Registration page.

UPDATED 12/26/14:  The Office will open on January 5, the same day that the Spring Catalog will be mailed out, will be posted on-line and registration will begin!!  Credit cards (Visa and Master Card only) will be accepted this year for on-line registration (no added fee), or in the office or at the open house.  Remember, classes are filled on a FIRST COME FIRST SERVED basis.

UPDATED 12/10/14:  The Office will be closed from December 19 through January 4.  The Spring Open House will be held at the Westport Library on January 22 from 1 – 3.  Snow date is January 29.

UPDATED 12/1/14:  Tickets for the Luncheon are available in the office for $25 per person.  There is a NEW event for next year, September 16, 2015 to attend “Beautiful” at the Providence Performing Acts Center.

UPDATED 11/6/14: A new event has been added!  Come on Nov. 20, 1-3 pm to hear a lecture by Dr. David MacKenzie on an upcoming performance of the NBSO (Handel’s Messiah and Bach’s Gloria). Check the Events page for details.  ALSO, the tickets for the holiday luncheon will soon be available.

UPDATED 8/27/14:  The hours of the membership reception  on Sept. 10 have been extended.  It will be from 2 – 6 pm.  TWO trips have been planned for October.  Check the Events page for details.

UPDATED 8/13/14:  The Open House was very well attended today.  Bev and Ellen have moved into their new offices and work is being done on the new classrooms.  Two bus trips are in the works — Berkshires (Oct. 19) and John Adams National Historic Park (Oct. 30).  The web site has a new calendar.

7/14/14:  SAVE THE DATE!!  The Fall Open House is scheduled for August 13 at 1 pm in Woodland Commons on the UMD campus.  Go to parking lot #7 and take the free shuttle to Woodland Commons.  The format of the open house has CHANGED this year, so don’t be late!   Link to 2014 Fall Registration and Aug 13 Open House changes (.doc)

The Fall Catalog and registration form will be available SOON.  Changes are being made due to the move to the new location.

7/11/14:  We are MOVING!! As of August 1, our new address is 205 Bedford St., Fall River 02720.  We are on the first floor and there is FREE parking across the street.  There is also a café right next door.  Check back for further details.

5/9/2014:  Check out the EVENTS page.  There are some exciting things going on in the last half of MAY!!  Don’t forget to sign up for the luncheon on May 28.  Tickets are available from the Second Half Office until May 20.   Guests are welcome.
